In July 2025, Congress passed H.R. 1815—the VA Home Loan Reform Act—ushering in pivotal reforms for veterans seeking homeownership. Spearheaded by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the legislation makes permanent a policy allowing VA loan–eligible buyers to pay their agents directly. It also launches a support program for veterans struggling with mortgage payments. These changes level the real estate playing field for service members using VA benefits.

The U.S. District Court in Utah has dismissed antitrust claims brought by Homie Technology—citing insufficient evidence of coordinated wrongdoing and ruling many allegations too old to pursue. The decision effectively bars Homie from refiling the same suit and underscores that antitrust protections focus on markets, not competitors.
