A sophisticated scam is sweeping the real estate industry: fraudsters posing as wealthy, crypto-rich buyers befriend agents, lure them into investing on fake platforms, let them withdraw small profits to build credibility—and then drain their accounts entirely. The Secret Service and NAR are sounding the alarm and urging agents to stay alert, verify communications, and immediately report suspicious activity.
